Catholic Chaplaincy at the university of manchester

The Chaplaincy has become a second home for students and staff from many different countries.  We are served by the Jesuit Community here in Manchester who also run the Universities' Church next door - The Holy Name.  We have a variety of programmes we run at the Chaplaincy including a student-run food bank and the St. Vincent de Paul Society 1833 group.

Project contact: Fr. Tim Byron
Location: Manchester

Our Volunteers assist them with the SVP programme in a variety of ways including writing their weekly newsletter, organizing and attending the Breakfast Club at the local primary school, managing the scheduling app for the various events, going on homeless food runs, keeping their social media up-to-date and building relationships with the Uni students to encourage their involvement.
