Faiths4Change is an environmentally-orientated charity based in Liverpool. It was originally a project of the Anglican Bishop of Liverpool; who saw it as a vehicle for people of all faiths (and no faiths) to work together in protection of their local environment. It is now an independent charity with strong links to faith groups. Faiths4Change seeks to empower local people, working with communities across the North-West of England to help them develop practical skills to benefit their lives and the planet.
As a Vincentian Volunteer, you will have the chance to work on a variety of different projects: from delivering gardening sessions to primary school pupils, to assisting in a cookery class and much more besides. A placement at Faiths4Change allows the volunteer to gain a holistic experience of community development: from project planning to organising sessions, designing leaflets and attracting participants, and finally delivering sessions and writing reports. Faiths4Change provide a great overview of the hard work and positive attitude required to deliver a worthwhile service to communities.
