Who We Are
Who We Are
We are a non-profit organisation aimed at supplying tailor-made volunteer programmes, in collaboration with a number of well respected charity organisations in the UK.
Our volunteers come from all over the world. They are accomplished people with a desire to dedicate a year of their lives, working to alleviate suffering amongst the poor, disabled, homeless, asylum seekers etc..
The Vincentian Volunteers were formed in 1992, in Langbank, Scotland, by the Daughters of Charity. Since then more than two hundred young men and women have given their time to vulnerable people in Glasgow, Hull, Liverpool, London, Manchester and Newcastle. There are a variety of different services, and always the challenge is to find those most in need.
Since 2000 The Vincentian Volunteers have been part of the Vincentian Millennium Partnership, an umbrella organisation set up to foster networking and collaboration among those organisations in Great Britain that are influenced by the ethos of St Vincent de Paul.
